CUSTOMIZED: POMME HONGSANANDA

I have decided to introduce a new series of blog post called Customized, portraying stylish and inspirational women through their lifestyle and sense of fashion. Customized aims to show how different women use and customize clothing and appearance to communicate identity, individuality and independence. The posts will be 100% subjective and are meant as a sneak peak into your neighbor’s wardrobe, sparking curiosity and hopefully providing inspiration.

Pomme Hongsananda is a London based photographer, whose roots reach deep into Bangkok soil. Having a heart in Thailand and two feet in London, Pomme’s portfolio mirrors her love for traveling, authenticity and that honest moment – Three signifiers cementing everything she is about. When it comes to fashion and style, she is far from religious and neurotic. She believes in classic pieces and subtle sexiness, expressing personality and femininity, all freed of collective trends. Considering dealing with fashion on a daily basis, her take on the issue is very informal and humoristic. She does not trust in rules and regulations, but do acknowledge fashion as a major player in the construction of ones social image.

Name 3 people who’s sense of style you admire and why Can that be designers? Or ? Well, I quite like Rihanna’s sense of style. It’s very over the top and I could never see myself wear some of the stuff she wears though. I quite like Blake Lively too. I love her dresses and how she always manages to look absolutely beautiful at any premiere. Her choice of colors and the designs always fit her figure and completes her look.  I don’t have a third one. I will have to think about it and get back to you.

What 3 basics does every woman need in her closet? Lingerie, simple shirts and hot shoes

What is, and will always be, a fashion-no-go? Anything to do with shiny patent leather/plastic is a no go

What does it take to make you feel beautiful? Being subtly revealing with a hot toned body and to die for heels.

What is a good fashion photograph to you? It is all about the right lighting, location and coloration

Do you believe in unisex? Yes

Which two brands would you like to see collaborate and why? I think Alexander Wang and ACNE should collaborate. I think they could create something really interesting together. Scandinavian design with an American/Eastern twist would be cool.

Mention one underrated trend in contemporary fashion That’s a difficult one. I don’t know.
